About

I am Mirko Natta, an architect and structural engineer based in Imperia, on the Italian Riviera. My training combines the design sensibility of architecture with the analytical precision of structural engineering.

Every structure begins with a precise question: what forces are acting? In which material? In what form? The answer to those three questions is what makes a project solid, safe and lasting.

I work throughout Liguria and the neighbouring provinces, for private clients, companies and public authorities.

Gravity, permanent and variable loads, wind, snow, earthquake. The first question is always: what is acting?

Material
Concrete, steel, timber, masonry. Each material resists bending, compression and shear differently.

Form
Arch, wall, beam, frame, truss. Form comes from structure, not the other way round.
