01 — Why this page exists
A notice, not a formality
Studio Tecnico Arch. Mirko Natta uses artificial intelligence systems as a support tool for certain professional, organisational and communication tasks. This page explains where, how and within what limits.
We publish it for two reasons: because being open about this is owed to clients, and because it is now also required by law.
Article 13, Italian Law no. 132 of 23 September 2025 — in the regulated professions, AI systems may be used only for ancillary and supporting tasks; the professional must inform the client, clearly, plainly and fully, about the systems used.
Article 50, Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act) — transparency obligations applicable from 2 August 2026: anyone interacting with an AI system must be told so from the first contact.
This is a duty to inform, not to obtain consent: this notice requires no approval from the client and places no condition on the appointment.
02 — The principle
AI is a tool. Judgement is not.
Nothing leaves this office without having been read, checked and validated by a qualified professional. Artificial intelligence can speed up a search through regulations, reorganise a document, prepare a draft: it does not decide, it does not calculate on its own, it does not sign.
Professional guarantee. The use of AI tools changes nothing about the professional liability of the signatory. Every drawing, report, bill of quantities and technical document is checked, validated and digitally signed by Arch. Mirko Natta, registered with the Board of Architects of the Province of Imperia, who takes full and entire responsibility for it. The intellectual work, the critical judgement and the technical decisions remain exclusively human.
03 — Where we use it
Supporting tasks
- Preliminary research — finding and organising regulatory, technical and sector references, always re-checked against the official source
- Document work — summarising, revising and reorganising technical content already produced by the practice
- Drafts — first versions of reports, correspondence and specifications, afterwards rewritten and validated by the professional
- Internal organisation — document management, filing, planning of tasks and deadlines
- Communication — drafting texts for the site, presentations and information material
- First contact — virtual assistant on the telephone and in chat (see point 04)
04 — Virtual assistant
When a system answers
The practice uses an AI-based virtual assistant on two channels: answering telephone calls when the office is unavailable, and the chat window on this site. In both cases you are told from the first contact that you are dealing with an automated system and not with a human operator.
The assistant exists solely to greet, orient and route: it gives general information about the practice’s services, takes your name, a contact detail and the subject of your enquiry, and passes it to the staff, who get back to you.
- It gives no technical opinions, professional assessments, quotations or binding statements; what the assistant says does not bind the practice
- It takes no decisions on your enquiry: every reply comes from a person
- It carries out no profiling and no automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR
- The conversation is handled through a third-party conversational assistance provider acting as processor
Please do not enter sensitive data, confidential documents or details of ongoing disputes in the chat: for these, direct contact is better. You can always ask to be called back by a person, or write to studio@architetturanatta.com.
05 — Where we do NOT use it
The limits
- Structural analysis — all analysis and verification is carried out with certified calculation software and validated by the professional. No member is sized by a generative system
- Technical assessment and expert reports — diagnosis, judgements on the condition of a structure and design choices are made by the professional, on the basis of a site visit and direct investigation
- Signing documents — nothing is signed or certified on the strength of an unverified output
- Site supervision and safety — the roles of site supervisor and safety coordinator (DL, CSP, CSE) are personal and cannot be delegated to any automated system
06 — Personal data
What goes into the systems, and what does not
AI tools are used in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018, on the principle of data minimisation:
- personal data of clients and third parties that is not needed for the task is not entered into the systems;
- data collected through the virtual assistant is processed solely to handle the contact and kept only as long as necessary;
- no special category data under Article 9 GDPR, no judicial data and no confidential documents belonging to an opposing party are processed with these tools;
- providers of the systems used are chosen partly on the strength of the data-protection guarantees they offer.
The full notice on data processing is on the Privacy Policy page.
07 — Content on this site
Text and images
Some of the text on this site and in the practice’s information material was drafted with the help of generative AI tools and then revised by the professional, who answers for its content.
The project images in the portfolio are photographs of works actually built: they are not artificially generated. Should images or renderings produced with AI be published in future, they will be marked as such.
